Dr. Andrew Karmin, Bellerose Animal Hospital Veterinarian

Dr. Andrew Karmin received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Karmin has served as the director of Bellerose Animal Hospital for more than 30 years. As hospital director, he has been an innovator and forerunner in the field of veterinary medicine and veterinary surgery. He has always strived to provide the most up-to-date, gold-standard veterinary medical and surgical care, equipment, and expertise at Bellerose Animal Hospital. Dr. Karmin loves providing veterinary care to the pets of Queens NY and western Long Island including the towns of Bellerose, Elmont, Queens Village, Floral Park, South Floral Park, Flushing and other Long Island communities.

Dr. Karmin has served as past-president for the Veterinary Medical Association of New York City and is a member of the advisory board of LaGuardia Community College Veterinary Nursing program. He is an advocate for veterinary nursing, particularly critical care nursing, and encourages all of Bellerose's veterinary nurses to further their education.

Dr. Karmin's special interests include surgery, internal medicine, and oncology. He schedules a full complement of veterinary continuing education programs in the hospital for doctors, veterinary technicians and nurses and also attends continuing education meetings outside the animal hospital.

Dr. Karmin and his wife, Ann, Bellerose Animal Hospital's office manager, share their home with their grand-dog, Guilly, a Golden Retriever.
